Our Grid Project

We took a rectangular section of the map covering parts of Crouch End and Hornsey south of Muswell Hill.
It was divided into 25 squares. Each participant was assigned a square and to take a photograph of the spot they were in. The project was an experiment:

1. Collectively a portrait of the area designated would be created.
2. Participants would be given a challenge - to produce a worthwhile image in the spot they found themselves.

We decided to have two versions of the Grid - a 'straight' one (Grid-1 above on the left) and a less conventional one  (Grid-2 above on the right) where participants could respond photographically in any way to their subject.
